After Haute Couture, Copenhagen Fashion Week signals the start of a new season in women’s fashion. Each European fashion capital has its own stylistic identity, and although the Danish runway is often more daring than others, it serves as a preview of many trends that will shape Fall/Winter 2026-27. Here are some of the key themes seen across brands.

Everything is styled with white tights
An ’80s-inspired element appeared throughout many collections: white tights. They were present in almost every look and are expected to replace classic sheer black tights next season. Designers paired them with everything from sporty outfits to countryside-inspired styles, proving their versatility.

One dominant color: navy blue
Navy blue stood out as a favorite among Danish designers and may replace brown as the key winter shade. It’s timeless, flattering, and easy to incorporate because most people already own pieces in this color. Brands showed it in coats, eveningwear, layered outfits, and sophisticated asymmetrical dresses.

Winter embraces color blocking
Instead of dark winter palettes, designers introduced vibrant color combinations. Bold color blocking appeared frequently, mixing tones like baby blue with fuchsia or cyan with pastel yellow, creating energetic and optimistic looks.

The neck stays protected
Accessories focusing on the neck became a major styling detail. Scarves were worn draped down the back or over one shoulder, while furry collars and tied neck pieces added warmth and visual interest.
